Real Estate Loan Compliance Certification

 12-16 to 12-20-2024 2:00 PM EST.

5 Sessions. 60 minutes each. Monday-Friday.

Real estate transactions are complex. Regulatory requirements require lenders to follow a strict lending process. It involves a variety of loan products, disclosures, borrower notifications, and documentation at every stage. The loan officers and loan processing staff are the traffic cops. They must make sure all regulations and processing requirements are followed. A solid understanding of the lending process and related regulatory requirements is required for this. Additionally, the loan officer and others involved in the loan application, processing, and closing processes must protect the lender's interests. Loan officers must determine that a borrower qualifies for the loan and that the collateral is adequate. Loans must also be originated correctly so that they can be sold on the secondary market if an institution decides to do so. There is a lot to consider when putting everything together. During this session, Michael Christians, an experienced compliance professional, will explain what is required at each stage. This includes documents, notifications, and federal regulations. By earning your Real Estate Loan Compliance Certification, you will be able to assist your borrowers more effectively and demonstrate your expertise in real estate lending. In addition, it will help you advance in your banking career while reducing lending risk for your institution.
