Training Overview

It’s time for your COVID-19 leave internal audit. Ensure you have maximized tax credits and met obligations.

Early November is the ideal time to audit your records for COVID-19 sick leave under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Before finalizing year-end payroll, you must ensure you have recorded leave correctly and maximized tax credits for leave provided voluntarily to employees through September 30.

The IRS can disallow prior credit if your records are not sufficient. Additionally, DOL enforcement and penalties if you denied or incorrectly administered leave for employees. You need to review actions and documentation before year-end.
